Totally Gross & Totally cute!

Warning!! Do NOT eat while reading this post!!

I'll start with the gross so we can end with the cute stuff!

This isn't the gross picture, it's just to let you know that she's doing fine other than her toe!

Here it is, after a long battle she's lost her toe nail due to her accident a few weeks ago. Luckily dogs are like humans in that it will grow back just fine.

There are two things that are gross about it:
1. Obviously it looks gross and it looks worse from the front but I thought I'd save you all from that view!
2. She lost the nail this morning while I was at work...that means I'm not sure where it is! Did she eat it? (Gross) Is it on the the floor somewhere waiting for and un-socked foot to find it? (Really gross!) We may never know the answer.

So just be praying that now she's lost the nail the toe will heal up. If not, we will have some more decisions to make.

Okay now the cute stuff!

Uncle Kenny and Auntie Jen were SO awesome and decorated their house for Gwizzie last Thurs. Only we didn't know and we totally flaked on them! However I have read their blog and I believe that our not being there led to some good ol'fashioned home shooting!

This week when we went over they had spared two balloons:

Isn't it cute!? We love it! Attached to it was a really cute piggy bank for Gwizzie.

See now it just keeps getting cuter!

...and cuter! Thanks to Uncle Kenny and Auntie Jen, we love you guys!

One more cute thing before I go. This is the first shirt we picked out for our baby girl! We loved the owl and the thermal underneath!

Ahhhh...owls they are everywhere! ;)

So from really gross to super cute. Something for everyone that's what you'll find here!

Baby SPOILER alert!!!!

Now you know what we're having!! A little girl sometime late Feb. early March. Our little girl was somewhat stubborn she had her legs crossed and would not uncross them. I rolled from side to side, got up walked and pushed on my tummy and she would not uncross. But she finally rolled her whole body so we could see from underneath. At least she's a lady!

Update!

Buttercup is doing much better. The paw that was in the window is still swollen but not as much as it has been. She is hobbling much better and even putting a little pressure on her "window paw"! :) Thanks everyone hope your fall is going well and much cooler than it has been down here!

Crazy Night!

On Monday we came home and found Buttercup had knocked the box fan out of the front window and had not gotten down quick enough because her paw was stuck in the window. We are not sure how long she was stuck but her paw looked pretty smashed and both her front paws were really swollen. We called a few vets and decided to take her in. After a few x-rays, a morphine drip, and 3+ hours at a very cold vets office we took our pups home. She couldn't stand at all let alone walk. Nothing is broken however she may have a few fractures, they can't tell for sure until the swelling goes down. Her blood flow is good both above and below where her wrist was crushed which was a real concern because they thought that the blood veins might be too damaged...if so that would have meant surgery, which we couldn't do.
However this is day two and she's hobbling around on three paws, so we call her tri-pod. (Real original I know!) She seems to be getting better slowly and hopefully she won't be needing to go to the vet for a long time!
You can't tell how bad it is in this pic, but her front paws are about the size of a 70 pound dog instead of her usual 25 pound size! She was drinking water and started to fall asleep in the dish. It must have been all the drugs she was on.

First belly pic's!

Here it is: My first official belly picture! I was 4 1/2 months along when it was taken (yesterday) so I don't if I'm showing a lot or a little? But I am showing!

Well I'm sure there will be more in the up coming months!
